Dr. Ian Furst Appointed to Executive of Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons

dr-ian-furstAt the recent Annual General Meeting of the Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (OSOMS), held in conjunction with its 1st Annual Conference, Dr. Ian Furst was appointed to the executive.

OSOMS executives fill a leadership role for the profession within the province, establish working relationships with the leaders of other specialties, interact with dental governing bodies, and work closely with their counterparts across the country and internationally.  Dr. Furst will fulfill all the positions on the Executive – Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and President.

Dr. Furst’s new position is in keeping with his history of leadership in organized dentistry.  Dr. Furst has also served two separate terms as President of the Oxford County Dental Society.  In addition, he is a member of several local dental societies, along with the Ontario Dental Association, and Canadian Dental Association.

  5. Kudos Dr. Furst! I had some work done this past month by Dr. Furst and was very impressed with the original kindness and patience when I went in for my consult.
    The day of my surgery I was anxious but quickly put at ease by the professional nurse on duty and Dr. Furst’s professional and genial mannerisms.
