Meet Us > Dr. Sufian Sheikh
Dr. Sufian Sheikh is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in the United States and a Fellow of the Royal College of Canada for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Sheikh received his Dental and Medical Degree at Case Western Reserve University in 2010 and completed his internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center. Dr. Sheikh then completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Sheikh then worked as an Associate Professor in the department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Vermont Medical Center, a Level I trauma center and also served as the Director Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for the Cleft and Craniofacial Association of Vermont. Due to his experience in Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery, Dr. Sheikh’s performs most of the alveolar cleft reconstructions from McMaster Cleft lip and Cleft Palate Association at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Dr. Sheikh has also been performing many complex cases including management of benign/malignant tumours, TMJ, Orthognathic Surgery and complex Reconstructions since his arrival to our area, and will continue to expand his scope and practice at Cambridge Memorial Hospital as its expansion project is completed.
Dr. Sheikh has served in overseas missions which include cleft lip and palate repairs in Ethiopia, Guatemala, and Zambia. He is also a fellow in the Head and Neck Cancer Division in Dublin, Ireland at the St. James Hospital.
